Nucleons, from the Latin nucleus, is a denomination that encompass the protons and neutrons that make up the nucleus of the atom. The two species of nucleons play a role very similar: they have a mass very similar and are distinguished by their electric charge, positive or null. The mass of an atom and its nucleus is approximately in proportion to the number A of nucleons of its nucleons.
